Kim By The Sea is a great little pit stop on my cycle home from work. Located just off Stretford Road, it’s an ideal place to take a quick rest – which is exactly what we did last week. Continue reading

De Nada – Chorlton
A firm favourite in my Chorlton dining circuit is De Nada. A South American cafe bar with a relaxed atmosphere, cosy surroundings, friendly staff – and some great artwork too.
Double Zero – Chorlton
We all already know about my sordid love affair with pizza. One of my new favourite local joints has taken it to a whole new level. Double Zero on Barlow Moor Road in Chorlton takes things back to basics – proper tasty ingredients, freshly baked pizza bases all cooked traditionally in a flaming hot oven at the back of the restaurant. The Crafty Pig
I’d been hearing good things about The Crafty Pig bar and kitchen so the other Saturday a bunch of us popped along for a friends birthday – there were around 20 of us and the staff were very welcoming and it was a very smooth service for such a large group. Continue reading
Visiting Bergen

The train journey was incredible with some spectacular views as is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful train journeys you can take in Europe. Sadly our camera battery was running desperately low but I managed to catch this snap on my phone. Continue reading
Crazy Pedros Part-Time Pizza Parlour
I have a serious addiction to pizza.
Luckily for me and my buddy Kate there’s a crazy little pizza parlour called Pedros a stones throw away from our workplaces – so it’s the perfect after-work haunt to eat delicious pizza and drink amazing cocktails! Continue reading
Davenports – Afternoon Tea
I went for a very special afternoon tea the other week with my dear friend Stella. We hadn’t seen each other for a very long time so we decided our catch-up was something worth celebrating. We headed off to Cheshire to Davenports Tea Room, which was about 40 mins south of Manchester. Continue reading
Croma – Chorlton
A couple of weekends ago a few friends decided that it was time for a catch-up. So we all gathered at Croma in Chorlton, a cheap and cheerful pizza place that’s a great little chain local to Manchester. It’s not the most fancy place – but a staple resturant that’s ideal for meeting up with friends without any fuss….. Continue reading
